MBTA Police Search For Suspect In Back Bay Attempted Assault

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Transit Police is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest and suspect in an assault with a knife.

Officials said that an incident occurred on March 25, at around 7:30 p.m. in Back Bay Station where a man allegedly threatened and attempted to assault a male Orange Line passenger while wielding a knife.

Police say that the victim testified the assailant had accused him of speaking too loudly on the train. Fearing his safety, the victim fled the scene, police said.
