MBTA Transit Police Search For Suspect In "Excuse Me" Assault

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — MBTA Transit Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a woman at Downtown Crossing on Tuesday.

Police say the 62-year-old woman was walking along the concourse in the station at about 2:00 p.m. and said "excuse me" to a man as she was passing by, who ten hit her with a closed fist.

The man is on surveillance video punching the woman. The suspect is wearing jeans, a black jacket, a gray hoodie and a green camouflage cap in the photos published by police.

Transit Police are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
