Arrest Made in Alewife Station Assault

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An arrest was made in connection with an assault that occurred at Alewife Station Monday morning.

Quincy Police arrested Alexandr Ivanenko Monday evening in the 700 block of Hancock Street in Quincy.

According to police, Ivanenko allegedly grabbed a 67-year-old woman by the neck and threw her to the ground as they passed each other near the door of the main entrance of the station. The incident occurred at 8:30 a.m. and was without provocation, police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Ivanenko was charged with Aggravated Assault.
