BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) board has voted to raise fares by about 6 percent, which is about 15 cents for a trip on the “T.”

There will be no increase on reduced fare tickets, senior and student passes, or any bus fares.

The board also voted for no additional fare increases for at least another three years.

The increases are set to go into effect on July 1.
