Medford Neighborhood Evacuated Over Bomb Threat

MEDFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Medford Police say several businesses were evacuated on Wednesday morning after a bomb threat at a check-cashing businesses. Police said an employee at 209 Mystic Ave called them at about 8:50 a.m., the address of "City Check Cashing."

The employee said they received a threat to "put the money in a bag or face a bomb threat." Police said several nearby businesses were evacuated.

A State Police Bomb Squad search of the building yielded no threats. Mystic Ave. has reopened between Bowen and Golden streets.
