EVERETT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An Encore Boston Harbor card dealer and two other men allegedly conspired in a cheating scheme.
Attorney General Maura Healy said the scheme netted $23,500 over two nights of playing the game Baccarat.
Jianming Li, 53, the Encore Boston Harbor casino dealer, along with Jun Zhang, 41, of New York, who was a former casino dealer, and De Lin, 46, of Philadelphia, were indicted today by a Middlesex County Grand Jury.

Charges included Cheating Under the Gaming Act, Conspiracy, Larceny by a Single Scheme, and Making False Statements to the Gaming Commission.
Healy stated in a report, that it is alleged that “while he was dealing the cards, Li exposed a series of playing cards, memorized them, marked them with a ‘bookmark’ card, then used his cell phone to communicate the cards and their order to Zhang, when both excused themselves to use separate bathrooms.”
The three men will be arraigned on the charged at a later date.
