Man Killed In Methuen Scooter Crash

METHUEN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 24-year-old Lawrence man was killed in a collision with a car while riding a scooter early Thursday morning, Methuen Police said.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, crossed the center line on Pelham Street around 1:44 a.m. and collided with a Toyota Rav-4.

He was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he died. The two people in the Rav-4 were not hurt.

Police said the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. They are still investigating.
