BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A new MICHELIN guide named 16 hotels in Massachusetts some of the best in the world.

The 2024 official MICHELIN Keys revealed that 33 best hotels are in New England which included 16 in Massachusetts. The list comprised of nearly 300 hotels in the United States and more than five thousand hotels from around the world.

The guide ranked the hotels in three tiers: One Key for “a very special stay,” Two Key for “an exceptional stay,” and Three Key for “an extraordinary stay.” The tiers are determined through five criteria: architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price, and neighborhood or setting contribution.
