Milford Teen Seamus Stoker Competes In Nation Cup Stacking

MILDFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Milford teenager has the record for the fastest cup stacking in Massachusetts. Now, he is training to eventually beat the world record.

Seamus Stoker is a junior at Milford High School and is ranked 14th in the country and 39th in the world for competitive stacking.

Competitive stacking, also known as sports stacking and cup stacking, is an unconventional sport; athletes stack plastic cups in various ways as fast as they can. The sport is recognized in the Junior Olympics.
The 17-year-old practices for over three hours a day, but he told WBZ NewsRadio that sometimes he stacks for longer. Stoker said it is a "great stress reliever."

This summer, he hopes to participate in the Junior Olympics in Houston to try to set a new record.
