FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Six million pounds of dirt have been dumped on the field at Gillette Stadium in preparation for Monster Jam Saturday.
The event will pit 12 daredevil drivers and their roaring trucks against each other in a slew of competitions, including races and freestyle events.

"It's almost like a marathon out here," said Armando Castro, who drives a massive orange truck called El Toro Loco. "You really have to run your own race and have fun."
The freestyle competitions require drivers to show off their best stunts. Scoring is partially based on the crowd's reaction.
Bari Musawwir, driver of a truck called Zombie, said the most perilous tricks tend to garner the most points.
"Hopefully, you can put the truck in a position where you have to save it from crashing," Musawwir said. "That's when you get those wow-factor moments. The fans respond to you and then you get that good, big score."
Monster Jam starts at 5 p.m. Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
