More Than 250 Beth Israel Lahey Health System Employees Have Coronavirus

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The number of employees testing positive for coronavirus is on the rise at several Beth Israel Lahey Health System locations.

According to a press release, the number of BILH employees with coronavirus has more than doubled in the past week, from 124 cases last Saturday to 266 cases today. Not all the infected employees had patient-facing roles.

Over the past week, several individual BILH medical facilities have reported increased numbers of employees testing positive for COVID-19, including:

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, which had 45 employee cases last Saturday, and has 96 employee cases today.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, which had 34 employee cases last Saturday, and has 66 employee cases today.

BILH Primary Care facilities, which had 11 employee cases last Saturday, and has 20 employee cases today.
