More Than 7,600 People Have Died Of Coronavirus In Massachusetts

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has reported another 208 cases of coronavirus, upping the state's total numbers of cases to 105,603.

The state DPH has also reported an additional 48 deaths attributed to COVID-19, bringing the Commonwealth's total death toll to 7,624. More than 4,800 of those deaths have been reported at long-term care facilities.

Middlesex County still has the highest number of cases in the state, followed by Suffolk, Essex, and Worcester Counties.

According to the DPH, the 7-day weighted average of positive molecular coronavirus tests has dropped by 90 percent in Massachusetts over the past month.
