BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Monday, March 10, is National Napping Day, but are Bostonians able to celebrate?
While most people would like to get some extra sleep, taking naps is not always possible for adults. Whether it is being a parent, having to work, or any of the other responsibilities that come with adulthood, something almost always requires attention during the day.
“When your body says you need to take a nap, definitely, you have to take a nap. [Although], people have to work, so you can’t really take a nap. You just have to do what you got to do,” said one man.
For one father with four children, naps have been hard to come by for the last couple of decades.
“I wish I had nap time. They’re just running wild,” said the father.
For others, finding time for a siesta is a lot easier.
“I nap every day. Usually after lunch,” said another man.

While most people WBZ NewRadio’s Chris Fama spoke with had no plans for nap time on Monday, they hope it becomes more possible for them in the future.
“It should be mandatory that we get naps each day. Shut everything off at a certain time and everyone takes a nap,” said one woman.
“I think you’ll be more rested, and for me, I would get more work done,” said another man.
