HAVERHILL, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Dracut man, 62, is suffering from serious injuries following a motorcycle accident Saturday. The man was hit by a ladder that fell off a pickup truck while riding his motorcycle on Route 495 in Haverhill.
After the man was struck by the ladder, the motorcycle crashed in the road.
According to Massachusetts State Police, the man was airlifted to Boston after being taken to Lawrence General Hospital.
The 38-year-old pickup truck driver, who remained on the scene following the accident, was cited for operating with an unsecured load, according to authorities.
