CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A movie double feature is being held Tuesday night at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Cemetery Cinema is a partnership between Mount Auburn Cemetery and Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline.
"We host two full length feature films in the historic Mount Auburn Cemetery," Matthew Stephens, president of cemetery, said.
The two films, "The Sweet Hereafter" and "Gates of Heaven," will be shown near the main entrance of the cemetery, in a wide flat area amid headstones.
"You're really surrounded by the landscape of Mount Auburn, the trees, hills and monuments of people who are buried here," Stephens said.
"The Sweet Hereafter" is a Canadian drama about a school bus crash that kills most of the town's children and the parents' struggle with their loss.
"Gates of Heaven" is an American documentary about the pet cemetery business.
This is the fifth year Cemetery Cinema has held this summertime event.
