TAUNTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – A Taunton photographer is cutting Santa Claus out of the mix and instead is using someone else as the main fixture in her holiday photoshoots.
Heather Kingsley has discovered a fun way to make unique holiday memories but instead of jolly St. Nick, she has opted to use grouchy Mr. Grinch as the picture model. Essentially, Kingsley is trying to change the yuletide narrative.
“Santa’s are everywhere,” she explained. “The Grinch has been growing popular over the few years and it’s outshining Santa nowadays.”
Kingsley’s cousin’s stepfather plays the part of the Grinch and is very interactive with the kids.
“He flips them upside down with the parent’s permission,” Kingsley explained. “He sneaks up on them and kids run away. If he needs to win them back over he lifts his mask to show them he’s a real person.”
Kingsley’s photoshoots are free and she will be hosting her final session of the year this Saturday at Memorial Park in Taunton.
