MSP Arrests Ohio Fugitive In Fall River Apartment

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man wanted for murder in Ohio has been taken into custody by authorities in Fall River.

According to Massachusetts State Police, 37-year-old Troy Capers II had fled to Massachusetts after he allegedly got into a fistfight with another man in a bar in Columbus on January 4th.

Ohio authorities say Capers left the establishment, returned with a gun at around 1:40 a.m., and fatally shot the 27-year-old victim.

Teams including the MSP Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and the US Marshals in Boston developed leads on three potential addresses in Fall River where they believed Capers was hiding, and set up surveillance on them.

Shortly after 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Capers was found at an apartment on Cook Street, and was taken into custody. He is expected to be arraigned in Bristol County as a fugitive from justice.
