BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Many residents of the Commonwealth have stopped by a convenience store with cash in hand to have the chance to become a millionaire.

Mega Million’s Tuesday night drawing is up to an estimated $893 million with a one-time cash option worth $421.4 million. Powerball also has a fast-rising jackpot, worth an estimated $687 million with a one-time cash option worth $327.3 million.

The next Mega Millions drawing takes place on Tuesday at 11:00 P.M. and the next Powerball drawing happens on Wednesday at 10:59 P.M.

WBZ NewsRadio’s Chris Fama asked residents why they decided to grab a Mega Millions ticket on Tuesday morning.

“My wife makes me play it,” said one resident.

“Only when it gets up big,” said another resident.

Other residents had no interest in testing their luck.

“Money can’t buy you happiness. I have problems with no money. Well, I’d have bigger problems with lots of money,” said one resident.

“I don’t need the money, too many problems,” said another resident.

If he wins, one man wants to put the money towards a good cause.

“I’d build some kind of foundation, one of my girls just had breast cancer and my father had cancer, to keep the money flowing in,” said another resident.
