NANTUCKET, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Marijuana users have one less option to buy their retail pot on one of the Islands, at least for the foreseeable future.

Sales have been halted at ACK Natural on Nantucket. The Inquirer and Mirror reports the temporary shutdown of ACK Natural was ordered by the State Cannabis Control Commission.

The order was made because of issues with the company's testing procedures for bacteria and other contaminants. The issues were discovered after an unannounced inspection of the company's 13-thousand-square-foot facility on the Island.

Nantucket's recreational marijuana dispensaries face a unique situation where they must test their own product because of the inability to transport it to the mainland because of federal laws.

Currently, there is no set date for the store to reopen and it has been closed for a week, reports the Inquirer and Mirror.
