WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) — Polar Park in Worcester on Sunday was the location of a Truck Pulling event for a great cause.

The NEADS World Class Service Dogs hosted the annual “Pulling 4 PAWS Truck Pull” to support the organization and its many Service Dog programs.

Teams of 15 people put their strength to the test to see who could pull an 18-wheeler the fastest with proceeds going to NEADS.

Teams were made up of members representing police, fire, businesses, and schools to name just a few.

Because of the pandemic, it’s the first time in three years the event was held.

Since 1976 NEADS has offered Service Dog programs including for adults and children with disabilities, for veterans, and partnering with professionals in classroom, therapy, hospital, ministry, and courthouse settings.
