BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has reported another 373 cases of COVID-19 over the past day, bringing the state's total number of cases to 108,443.
The state DPH also attributed another 28 deaths to the virus, upping the COVID-related death toll in the Commonwealth to 8,041.
There are currently 143 patients in the state who are in the ICU with COVID-19, and 90 people intubated with the virus.
The seven-day weighted average rate of positive molecular tests has fallen by 93 percent over the past month, according to the DPH.
While Massachusetts has seen several important health metrics decline since the start of June, many states have reported record-breaking numbers of new daily cases over the past week, including Texas, Arizona, and North Carolina.
Florida's Department of Public Health has confirmed nearly 10,000 new cases of COVID-19 overnight.
