Neighbors Report "Crazy Loud" Parties Without Masks In South Boston

SOUTH BOSTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Complaints about younger people gathering without proper COVID-19 safety precautions have been piling up in South Boston.

Health officials have warned about a possible second wave of the virus, especially as New England heads into colder temperatures.

According to the call logs for Boston's non-emergency number, 311, there have been a lot of complaints in South Boston for younger adults gathering and partying amid the pandemic.

As WBZ-TV reports, one message reported "loud party, no masks, and not social distancing,” while another was reporting "crazy loud party with 20 people and no masks."

Governor Baker has been hammering home the message to young people to avoid large gatherings, and to make sure they are wearing face coverings to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
