BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Discover Boating New England Boat Show is taking over the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center for the next several days.
A fleet of over 550 boats of various shapes, sizes, and styles line the floor for the show's 79th outing, which runs until Sunday, Jan. 12.
"We have pontoons, personal watercraft, fishing boats, runabouts, day boats, center consoles, yachts," listed spokesperson Carrie Waible.

The queen of the show is the Tiara 43 LS, a luxury yacht that is more than 43 feet long and costs around $1.5 million.
"It has all kinds of very cool bells and whistles, like a spinning loveseat that can face you toward your galley kitchen or back toward the water if you want to chill out," Waible said.
Along with the boats, the convention offers a beach club with live music and cooking demonstrations, saltwater fishing seminars, a paddleboard pool, a boating simulator, and other events and activities.
Waible told WBZ NewsRadio Wednesday they expect tens of thousands of people to attend the boat show, and while some are looking to spend big, many are thinking wishfully and manifesting those summer vibes.
"You’re strolling past boats, you’re starting to get into that mindset, and all of a sudden, you’re shopping for sunglasses in the aisles, and you're really feeling a bit like, 'We can forget about winter for the moment,'" Waible said.
The boat show is open from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are $20 and children 12 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult.
