New Hampshire Legalization of Recreational Marijuana Remains Up In The Air

CONCORD, NH (WBZ NewsRadio) — New Hampshire remains the only state left in New England not to have legalized marijuana for recreational use.

And indications are, the latest effort to push for legalization in the state will fail.

The state senate is scheduled to vote on House Bill 639 Thursday in Concord that would legalize cannabis, but signs point to it being rejected, following the same path as the recent senate judiciary committee’s advisory.

Multiple bills to legalize marijuana in the state have passed in the House, but stalled in the Senate.

While there’s a chance lawmakers could make a last-minute deal to legalize cannabis, that appears unlikely.

WBZ’s Jim MacKay (@JimMackayOnAir) reports.
