CONCORD, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Those looking to buy beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages in New Hampshire can also walk away with some other valuable items—at home COVID tests.

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu announced Friday that an initial round of 500,000 COVID test kits are now available for purchase at all 67 New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet locations.

The kits can be purchased at all NH Liquor & Wine Outlet locations for $11.29. Customers can purchase as many testing kits as they want, and there is no age requirement to buy the tests. The locations for NH Liquor & Wine Outlet can be found here.

“Since the start of this pandemic, we have been identifying gaps to meet needs to stay ahead of the pandemic,” Gov. Sununu said in a statement. “Easy access to at-home tests is one of the most important tools we have at limiting the spread of COVID and I would like to thank all who made this effort a reality.”

This is the first step in an ongoing partnership with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission. NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica said that as the state purchases and receives more testing kits, the NHLC will restock tests at all outlets.

“NHLC is proud to serve the people of New Hampshire,” Mollica said in a statement. “I would like to especially thank our marketing, merchandising, warehousing, and store operations teams for immediately springing to action and ensuring these products reached our customers.”

The state is also making tests available through the Doorways, which are treatment centers set up to help those in recovery or treatment for substance use disorders, to make sure they do not need to go to a liquor store to buy testing kits. Doorways locations can be found here.
