PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (WBZ NewsRadio) — A New Hampshire native and her child have been kidnapped in Haiti.

According to the community ministry El Roi Haiti Outreach International, Alix Dorsainvil, a community health nurse and wife of the organization's founder and director Sandro Dorsainvil, was kidnapped along with the couple's daughter on Thursday, July 27 near the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince.

The organization said Dorsainvil and her daughter were taken "while serving in our community ministry." As of Sunday, there have no been ransom demands or other details released.

Dorsainvil grew up in Middleton, New Hampshire and had been living in Haiti for some time, the ministry said.

The kidnapping took place on the same day the U.S. State Department ordered nonemergency U.S. government employees and families to leave Haiti "due to kidnapping, crime, civil unrest, and poor health care infrastructure."
