New Kids On The Block Predict Tom Brady's Future

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Fans are getting excited about the return of New Kids On The Block for their only show of the year, happening September 19 at Fenway Park.

On Wednesday morning, Donnie, Danny, Jonathan and Jordan stopped by the iHeartRadio studios in Medford to tell WBZ NewsRadio's Jim MacKay and Adam Kaufman a little more about their upcoming hometown performance.

"It's going to be a celebration for Boston, for the entire weekend," Donnie Wahlberg said. "Aerosmith and Extreme are Friday night. New Kids, Bel Biv Devoe and a whole bunch of surprise Boston people Saturday night. It's just going to be an amazing weekend."

The band are also well-known Boston sports fans, so WBZ NewsRadio's sports reporter Adam Kaufman asked their thoughts on the future of the Red Sox and the Patriots.

"Donnie would be a good manager for the Red Sox," Jonathan said.

"Not so much.... I would get fired just like Cora," Wahlberg joked. "Because I'd be on the bench on my iPhone, and they would think I was sending signals somewhere."

"They'll be alright," Wahlberg said. "I think they probably gotta finish this investigation and make sure the Red Sox didn't cheat. Because they didn't. They're innocent. And then we'll probably bring up Roenicke off the bench or Varitek, and we'll be done with it. How's that sound?!"

When asked about what they think about the future of Tom Brady with the Patriots, the New Kids had a strong prediction.

"Tom Brady. Is he back next year?" Kaufman asked.

"No," Danny said. "I said that just to see everyone's reaction, but I do think he's leaving."

"I don't know," Jordan said, "Why would he go somewhere else? He's a Patriot, man."

"First of all, Tom Brady and Gisele don't need money..." Donnie said, "He moved to Connecticut. He didn't move to L.A., he's still in New England!"
