BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Healey-Driscoll Administration launched a new website to help Massachusetts federal workers laid off by President Donald Trump and DOGE find their next employment opportunity.
According to Governor Maura Healey, the website will act as a one-stop-shop to help thousands of federal workers prepare and look for their next job opportunity.
“We really want to make sure that we are sending a very clean message from Governor Healey that Massachusetts stands with the workers affected by recent federal cuts,” Lauren Jones, State Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development, told WBZ NewsRadio.
Jones added that the website features a variety to resources from career coaching, resume writing, and job searching tools. The listing includes employment opportunities within the state, cities and towns, and even in private sectors.
“We have their back as they look for their next employment opportunity, and we want that to be right here in Massachusetts," Jones said.
Meanwhile, attorney generals from D.C. and 18 Democratic states, including Mass. Attorney General Andrea Campbell, filed a joint lawsuit Friday against the Trump administration to seek relief for tens of thousands of fired federal workers. Their lawsuit argues that federal agencies did not adhere to proper federal law when terminating those employees. A hearing is scheduled on March 12.
“The good news is that Massachusetts is home to world class talent and employers who are eager to hire, and we know members of our federal workforce have the skills to make a difference here,” said Governor Healey.
