New Patriots Wide Receiver Brings Quirky Actions With Him

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Only a few days into Free Agency signing for the next NFL season, and the Patriots are making headlines already with their recent signing of Wide Receiver Mack Hollins. Although Hollins isn’t just known for his big plays on the field, he has some off-field antics.

Whether it’s going barefoot wherever he goes, not using utensils when he eats, or believing small cats will steal his soul, Hollins said that’s just the type of person he is. Hollins said in a press conference Friday that the Patriots hold the same values he does.

“Seeing Coach Vrabel and how he’s ran his teams… Being tough, playing hard, playing for your teammates, those are things that I support and stand by,” Hollins said during the Press Conference. “I’m willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win, whether that’s playing quarterback, O-line, D-line, or sitting on the bench cheering my teammates on, whatever it takes, I just want to win.”

Hollins also spoke about his shoe situation, and how he adjusts to the cold climate.

“I think you can only get so used to the cold, below 35 I’ll put shoes on,”  Hollins said. “I’m barefoot but I’m not a dummy, that’s the saying I like to live by.”

Hollins has been in the league for eight seasons and previously played for the Buffalo Bills.
