BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A new late-night addition to the food scene in Brighton has been approved by the Boston Licensing Board.
Taco Bell will take over 288 Washington St. in Brighton Center, staying open until 3 a.m. on weekdays and 3:30 a.m. on weekends.
“I actually like this location for this type of business, with these late hours. I think the neighborhood and the businesses around it can support them staying open that late,” said Kathleen Joyce, chairwoman of the Boston Licensing Board.
Brighton residents seem on board with the new restaurant.
“There’s very few food places,” said Lawrence, one resident.
“I’m a fan, I love it,” said Eli, another resident.
Brighton doesn’t currently have its own Taco Bell. The closest location is currently on Commonwealth Ave in Allston.
The licensing board also approved extended late-night hours for El Jefe’s Taqueria in Kenmore Square until 3 a.m.
