Health officials warned that the bus rides represent potential community exposure of the coronavirus, saying that anyone who rode on those buses should stay at home and monitor their health for fever or respiratory illness.
Concord Coach Lines released a statement Tuesday evening:
"Concord Coach Lines worked closely with NH DHHS to provide the names of the passengers that were on the bus with this individual so they could be notified. The drivers of these trips were taken out of service as soon as we learned that a rider had tested positive for COVID-19. They have not shown any symptoms during their ongoing self-isolation.
"Concord Coach is taking dramatic steps to clean and disinfect our buses and we’re encouraging smart precautions like spreading out on the bus. Many people, including healthcare workers, rely on our service for essential travel, but we are assessing whether it is prudent for us to continue to operate."
So far 108 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in New Hampshire, with 13 hospitalizations and one death.
