BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you saw something like a jellyfish of light dancing across the sky Saturday night, you're not alone— and no, it's not an unidentified flying object. It was the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, which launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida to bring 52 Starlink satellites into orbit.
WBZ's Jay Willett caught a glimpse of the ordeal in Duxbury, capturing the rocket's ascension through the Earth's atmosphere.
Saturday's launch marks the 43rd orbital mission of 2022 from SpaceX. According to SpaceX, the rocket has been launched over a hundred times in its career, as a reusable delivery rocket of both people and payloads.
