NORTH READING, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you know a North Reading High School senior, a banner with their face on it is now being displayed on the school football field in their honor.
According to Al Perera, owner of local printing company Advanced Photo, the community wanted to honor the students who can't attend their graduation ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"I don't know 99 percent of them," said Perera. "But they're a bit part of what's going on, and we had to do something."
Perera said he wanted to line the roughly 5ft tall banners alongside each other on the school's football field, and get drone videos and photos for each student to keep.
"If they don't make it on the field for graduation, at least in spirit with their banners, they are on the field." said Perera.
The photos are expected to be put up on the North Reading High School Facebook page by Sunday evening.
