LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – A college on the North Shore is doing their part to help people get tested for Covid-19.

In response to the rapidly spreading Omicron variant, the Lynn campus of North Shore Community College has opened up a free walk-up testing center.

The site is not just available for students and staff at the college, but also for anyone looking to get tested.

Stephen Creamer, interim vice president of Student Affairs at the college, said they have partnered with Curative to create the site. He said this is something the community desperately needs.

“The community has struggled vitally with the virus," Creamer said. "We feel it’s an important opportunity for us to participate and provide services to the people that we serve, but also the people that we are a part of the community with.”
