BOSTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A woman is hospitalized after what Northeastern University called a "tragic accident" when she fell from a Mission Hill apartment window Saturday night.

According to Boston police, officers responded to a call at a home on Judge Street Path at around 7 p.m.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, fell from a window and sustained life-threatening injuries, police said. It was later confirmed that the woman was a student at Northeastern.

"We can confirm that a Northeastern student was involved in what appears to be a tragic accident Saturday evening. We are awaiting confirmation from the hospital on the student’s current condition. Because this incident is the subject of a police investigation, we cannot comment further at this time," a spokesperson for Northeastern University told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.

The investigation is ongoing.
