Northeastern Student Seriously Hurt In Hit And Run

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Northeastern student Nguyen Do spent weeks in a Boston ICU after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Dorchester earlier this month.

Friends of the the 22-year-old computer science major an Vietnam native are pleading for anyone with information to come forward and find whoever left Do for dead on the night of Oct. 11.

Investigators say she was found on the ground in the rain on Edwin Street near Ashmont Station.

A friend, Julita Bailey-Vasco, tells WBZ-TV, “She was unconscious for three days after the accident took place and she doesn’t remember anything. She has ear damage. A broken bone in one of her ears. Her pelvis is broken. She got a lung infection.”

Boston Police have video surveillance if a suspect's vehicle. The investigation continues.
