NORTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Tuesday, first responders in Norton rushed to the Taunton town line to address a reported gas leak along Route 140.
A construction crew reportedly caused the leak when they struck a gas line in the street.
That gas leak has been contained, though it took a bit of coordination to get the job done. The Norton Fire Department says Norton Police, Eversource, and National Grid responded and shut down gas services in the area so that crews could work on repairing the pipeline.
