Norwood Food Truck Brings In Customers Despite Irregular Hours

NORWOOD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Tailgaters Food Truck is a popular destination for burgers, hot dogs, cheesesteaks, breakfast sandwiches, and other delicious treats.

Located on University Avenue in Norwood, Tailgaters is run by Richie Morrison, who operates the small trailer as a way to keep busy during retirement.

"I like people, I meet a lot of nice people here," said Morrison. "I always wanted to do it."

Morrison has a lot of regular customers, but what he does not have are regular hours.

"That's what I'm known for, not being here," Morrison said. "I have grandkids and so forth, and I spend time with them. It's not a 9-to-5 job by any means."

But with lots of hungry people frequenting Tailgaters, Morrison acknowledges the demand to keep the food truck open longer.

"I've been thinking about opening more, more hours, because of demand" said Morrison. "They like the food and they want to see me open."
