Norwood Shooting Victim Dies From Multiple Gunshot Wounds

NORWOOD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – The Boston man shot multiple times on Sturtevant Avenue in Norwood Sunday night has died.

Norwood Police identified the man as 28-year-old Shakim L. Lewis-Johnson of Hyde Park.

Shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, police were alerted to the sound of multiple gunshots at the home of Lewis-Johnson’s friend. Upon arrival they found Lewis-Johnson suffering from “obvious wounds.”

He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for medical evaluation but did not survive emergency surgery.

While the investigation is ongoing, the initial investigation suggested that the shooter left the scene. Officials have said there was no ongoing threat to neighborhood residents.
