HINGHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Days after being told by their superiors to remove three 'thin blue line' flags from the back of fire engines in Hingham, almost 100 first responders gathered outside the firehouse on Main Street as officers removed the flags.
"The fire department said nobody from their union will take their flag down and they have held true to their word," Officer Ken Murphy.
Policemen from Weymouth, including Officer Murphy, removed the flags. According to Murphy, the flags will be flown back at the Weymouth police station.
