BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Retired Olympic Gymnast Aly Raisman is asking for people in the Boston area to keep an eye out for her dog after he ran away on Saturday night.

"To my followers in the seaport/Boston area…my dog Mylo was terrified of fireworks and ran off," Raisman said in a tweet. "He has a tag on and a leash. Please let me know if you see him. Thank you."

The Massachusetts native followed up the message by asking people to not "go out and actively search for Mylo" because it will scare him.

"The folks at Missing Dogs Mass advised that we don’t have anyone yelling his name or running around looking for him," Raisman said.

Anyone who sees the dog is advised to not post the location on social media, but rather message Raisman directly at lynnraisman@gmail.com.
