ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities are investigating a homicide that happened Friday afternoon at a home in Attleboro.
According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, Attleboro police received multiple 911 calls around 4 p.m. Friday in regards to "a commotion" at 6 Leroy Street.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found a woman "bleeding profusely." The victim, later identified as 28-year-old Kimberly Duphily of Attleboro, was the victim of an apparent stabbing. She was rushed to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where she was later pronounced deceased.
A second person was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. They have since been released.
