RANDOLPH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Monday, the Norfolk District Attorney's Office announced they have joined the investigation into a fatal shooting that happened outside a country club in Randolph on Independence Day.
Officials say shots were fired at around 8 p.m. on the Fourth of July, in a parking lot near the Mojito Country Club on 44 Mazzeo Drive.
There, arriving officers found two adult men suffering from life-threatening injuries, bringing them to a Boston hospital for emergency treatment. According to the DA's office, one victim succumbed to his injuries, while the other sustained life-threatening injuries and is undergoing treatment. Officials say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Police did not release the identity of the deceased victim.

According to officials, a number of people were in the vicinity at the time of the incident, and as detectives conduct interviews, the Randolph Police Department urges anyone with related information to come forward. Police from Avon, Braintree, Milton, Holbrook, Stoughton, and Weymouth responded to assist in the incident.
