One Killed, One Jumps to Safety In Overnight Fire In Revere

REVERE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One person is dead and two more were injured after a fire overnight at a triple-decker in Revere.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m., on Thorton Street and at least three people were trapped in the building.

The Revere Fire Department said one person did not survive. A witness said he saw a young girl jump from the second story window to escape.

The girl suffered burns, but her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. A second person was injured in the fire. 

Police are asking people to avoid the area. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
