MARBLEHEAD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — In the driveway and garage of Tom Saltsman’s house sits a giant robotic face, which is right next to something resembling a Tesla robot with facial features.

It’s part of his annual Halloween display, which has turned into a popular attraction around town.

The display is called "Year 2124." At night, the creations come to life with moving faces that are projected onto the androids.

Building and designing things are in Saltsman’s wheelhouse, since he is the owner and operator of an architectural and design company. He normally starts planning the display in August and begins building it in September.

“I think it looks really cool [but] secretly I hope it doesn’t move too much tonight,” said Matt, a neighbor, who called seeing the display “a tradition.”

“It’s great, I think it’s fun to see his talent and his imagination and we get more trick or treaters,” said Peg, another one of Saltsman's neighbors.

Saltsman said it is “incredible” to do something that is so beloved in his neighborhood.

“I’m taken aback by the appreciation that people have for me doing it, and I hope that it can remain fun and not an obligation!” Saltsman joked.

If you miss the show on Halloween, Saltsman said that it will again be activated on Friday and Saturday nights.
