BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Investigations are underway in Boston where several people were shot early Monday morning in four separate incidents.

One incident happened in the area of Seaver and Humboldt Streets, where police said a person was shot and then hit by a car. The victim was pinned underneath the car and was later pronounced dead.

Rosa Burton, who lives on Seaver Street, said she had no idea about the violence outside her window.

“I just thought it was fireworks -- I can't tell the difference between a gunshot and fireworks,” she said. "I was disturbed [when I heard the news]."

Two other overnight shootings were reported within a mile away -- one on Harold Street, and another on Hollander Street.

Both victims in those shootings are currently hospitalized and their conditions are unknown.

WBZ-TV also reported that another person walked into Boston Medical Center just before 2 a.m. with a gunshot wound.

No further information is available -- and it is not yet known whether the shootings are connected to each other.

WBZ's Matt Shearer (@MattWBZ) reports.
