Orange Line Service Disrupted for Delayed Weekend Work

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A rough Monday morning commute for Orange Line riders in Boston.

The MBTA says there is no Orange Line service between Sullivan Square and Tufts Medical Center, because of delayed weekend construction work.

Shuttle buses will replace trains between Sullivan and Haymarket stations. The MBTA also offering the Green Line as an alternate service between Haymarket and Copley to Back Bay.

The MBTA says work is being completed as quickly as possible and is not expected to impact the PM commute. The transit agency also confirms than an accident involving two pieces of construction equipment and an injured worker, contributed to the delay over the weekend.
