BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A month of repair work on a section of the Orange Line that was scheduled to start this weekend has been delayed indefinitely, the MBTA announced Wednesday.

Originally, Orange Line service between Oak Grove and Wellington stations was set to be diverted between Friday, July 29 and Sunday, Aug. 28 to complete track and signal work.

The start of the project was delayed to allow officials to explore "additional opportunities to accelerate work on the Orange Line," according to the MBTA.
