Passenger Dies Aboard Flight To Boston's Logan Airport From France

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities are investigating the death of a passenger on a flight to Boston on Tuesday.

According to the Massachusetts State Police (MSP), the unidentified passenger was on an Air France plane from France.

Police said on Wednesday afternoon that the it appears the death was caused by a "medical episode during the flight," but they are still waiting for the "official cause and manner of death from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner."

The passenger has been identified as Barbara Dipoli, 53, of Topeka, Kansas.

"We offer our condolences to her family and loved ones," a State Police spokesperson said in a statement.
