BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Treacherous flying weather kept some flights out of Logan Airport grounded, but passengers were not upset.

According to the National Weather Service, torrential downpours on Tuesday night and Wednesday, following the previous weekend’s nor’easter, caused flooding all over the Commonwealth. High winds caused a number of storm cancelations and delays for flights out of Logan Airport in Boston.

Despite the delays, spirits remained high at the terminals. WBZ’s Kim Tunnicliffe spoke with passengers in Terminal B, where many of the passengers were awaiting flights on Delta Air Lines.

“We were supposed to fly at 7:30 A.M. We got the notification last night at like 8:00 P.M. We were very, very excited because we were going to get up at 3:50 in the morning and get on the 5:00 A.M. bus. We got to hang out and sleep in a little bit,” said Greg, who was heading for Palm Beach.

“I’m fine with a little delay, as long as we’re safe going out,” said another traveler.

Zack from New Hampshire was thankful to not be heading for North Carolina during the bad weather.

“[It was delayed] about two and a half hours. I heard it was really bad high winds, so I don’t blame them. I’d rather get there safely than not get there at all,” said Zack.
